It is so awesome to be able to freeze some of your own fruits right from the tree. This is what I have been doing lately and probably will continue to do so since mango season just started and then there is so much mangos everywhere that it is too much for us to eat.
We got a very big banana branch which ripens all at once, which sucks because you can't eat all of the bananas. I have gave some to two of my neighbors, we keep on eating the bananas daily and even give some not so healthy/bruised etc. bananas to the chickens and we still have so many bananas left.
Because we love to make banana shakes, I thought I should just freeze some and this way they will be perfect for the shakes. So now I have about 3 frozen banana bags.
I have also froze some green mangos for my husband and we will probably do the same with all the other ripen mangos.

Genius @joalvarez didn't think it would be a good idea to freeze bananas but for shakes it shouldn't be a problem and I do like adding a banana to most smoothies.
