#LivingElSalvador. It is Snowing SUGAR CANE ASHES.

So this is just one of the very messy steps (process) of having sugar in our homes. It comes from the sugar cane plant which is grown in tropical countries like El Salvador, Central America.

It is the burning sugar cane process which gets pretty messy and it last for about a month or more depending on where you live.
We live near the sugar cane plantations which pretty much are all over El Salvador and so since December the burning process is taking place. Because the whole plantation is not burned in one full section but in many smaller sections every so often, it feels like forever and it is done in all different parts of the day or night.
And because there are many different sugar cane plantations, sometimes you can have the ashed coming down from both different ways at the same or different time.

I just can't wait for the process to be done with, because it really makes quite the mess which ends up inside your home especially if it is windy because the burned sugar cane turns into ashes/dust once you touch it or try to sweep it.

But I guess this is nature and if that is what it takes for us to have sugar then that is what it is. At least it keeps me busy and appreciative of our nature and the food it provides.
