Fiat Currencies: Hold Them at Your Own Financial Peril.
In this report, from London on Sunday, February 10th, 2019 I look at how the major fiat currencies of the world are faring against gold.
I also look back at when I was growing up in Brazil in the 1970s and 1980s and how that country has been through various currencies in the last fifty years.
The charts are presently showing that currently currencies like the Australian dollar and the Canadian dollar have broken or are at a near all-time low versus gold and that means, of course, that gold is at or near all-time highs.
My conclusion is that in the long term trying to hedge for fiat currency debasement by switching to other fiat currencies is a useless exercise and that one needs the financial protection of gold and silver.
