20 Steps to One Million - Beginning Again - v4.1
I'm back with a brand new (and almost certainly doomed) attempt at becoming a millionaire by doubling up £1 twenty times.
This video starts with a look back at the Champions League Final, which seems like ages ago right, and what went wrong for Liverpool and my bet. Then I turn my attention to England's upcoming friendly with Costa Rica at Elland Road. Having beaten Nigeria on Saturday I am predicting a comfortable win for Southgate's team before they head off to the World Cup.
Only one bet for the start of version 4 (not 5, what an idiot) as picking four opening bets has really not been working out!

England v Costa Rica - International Friendly - Thursday 7th June
England to be leading at HT and FT. £1 at 2.1 (11/10) with Coral.

It is a real hard challenge to complete. What also will make it hard, is when you do need to place your last bet. Because then you are going to risk 500.000 pond! After the first 10 bets you will have around 1000 pond, and from them on I guess that it will be harder to place the bet!
From bet 15 on, you will be risking a small car :)
Imagine walking into the casino with 10K ponds and place it all on red or green!
Will follow the challenge with lots of interests!

It's a hard thing to do really.
Imagine doubling the money to 100k and then losing that bet!? It would be a story you'd be repeating to the end of your life... once upon a time I've lost 100k bet...
@marcusbraeburn hats off if you're able to pull it off. I know I'm not. I'd chicken out at around 30k 😂
One thing that can be a problem is that not many bookies will take a 100k+ bet.

Chicken out around 30k? I think if I had 500 and lost my wife would kill me 😂 "Sweetie why are you stressing more about this game than others?" "Oh no reason, just risked 30k, but don't worry I won that so I really can't lose" and then she strangles me 😂 😂

There's a trick to it... you either keep her in the dark or you bombard her with the sports talk so much that she escapes each time she suspects you're about to talk about sports and betting 😂
Is it moral? No, but it has saved some lives in the past 😂

I do have tried this quest above before. But them with lower odds! Never made it further than bet 16, the average odds where around 1.4.
With odds around 1.4, you will need to win 41 to 42 bets in a row!
A sweet problem to have, but still a problem. A tricky one, too.
The number alone will save you, but you'll instantly get another problem. She'll get interested in betting herself:
Haha, really enjoying this thread! Fortunately, as a single man I only need to justify losses to myself, and I am pretty good at this by now! My insurance policy is that I actually start with a higher bet, five or ten pounds, that way I can (hypothetically, at least) pull profits out all the way along.
It's tough though, I am yet to get past bet number four! That's why I always ask for suggestions, I don't actually appear to be very good at finding even money selections. Going for shorter odds is an interesting idea though... maybe I will try this after few more failed attempts!

There are not that many games to chose from at the moment. The World Cup will bring some interesting games, but I don't like to bet on the cups (any cup really).
Take a look at what @numpypython is doing, at the moment, I think, he's the only one that's placing bets on football.
