Fermenting my own KEFIR MILK with TIBETAN MILK BACTERIA

in #dtube5 years ago (edited)

This is the real ACTIMEL, not that sugar watered down thing you buy in the supermarket :) I know it might look disgusting to many of you and I was also bit scared in the beginning, but it's suuuper healthy and super natural :)

Here just a couple of benefits :)

  • Normalizes metabolism and appetite thus, influence on the weight loss
  • Restores the micro flora in the digestive system
  • Treat gastritis, pancreatitis, and stomach ulcers,
  • Lessens symptoms of diarrhoea and chronic constipation
  • Completely clears the organism from heavy metals, chemical antibiotics, kidney stones, pathogen micro-organisms
  • Dissolves “stones” from kidneys and the gall bladder
  • Splits fats and reduces weight in cases of adiposity
  • Clears the organism from slag
  • Liver disease
  • Decreases lactose intolerance

It has also anti-fungal, anti-bacterial effects. Lowering blood sugar levels is also another benefit :) Ideally made from unpasterized milk which I didnt have this time..

Hope you learned something new here :) Matko.

I've been making Kefir for about 12 years or so, I drink it almost every day. I eat the extra grains. They are not just bacteria, they are a polycsacharide matrix that houses a variety of bacteria and yeasts. The grains also contain Kefeirin which is a powerful anti oxidant.

That's a myth about killing them with metal utensils, Commercial Kefir has been fermented in stainless steel vats for years in Russia. A few youtubers started saying not to use metal a few years ago and then over the next few years everyone started saying it. I strain mine through a stainless steel sieve and stir it with a stainless steel spoon and it's never harmed the grains.

Doms Kefir was one of the first sites on the web dedicated to Kefir and it's still one of the best.

Hahah really? that's how misinformation spead :D Wow I couldnt eat those extra grains haha..I just give them to someone or throw into the toilet...but I believe it might be healthy...I just...can't :D

In Russia, sold in the store and is called "Kefir". Yes, doctors recommend it for various diseases. But it tastes too sour for me.)

Yah we have it as well but it's dead IMO. This homemade one is real living thing.

We make our own kefir - it is so difficult to find unpasteurized milk here. In fact, it is illegal. I know a few moms that travel great distances to get off the farm, fresh, unpasteurized milk but I have not gone this length myself 'yet' ;)

I have learned though that making kefir doesn't work if it is ultra-pasteurized. Also making sure that you don't use a metal spoon or metal filter.

I always forget all the benefits of kefir so it is nice to be reminded just how healthy it is. You even had a few items on your list of benefits that I didn't know. It is supposed to also have stronger bacteria than yogurt.

Thanks for sharing such a great post on kefir.

Nicee, happy it helped someone :))

I guess bad internet connection while travelling, but this upvote took 2 minutes to happen. At least I hope it did ;)

We have a Bulgarian kind of Milk Bacteria that is in the heart of Yogurt.

Ah, Lactobacillus Bulgaricus :) My mind had been storing it under the wrong name of Bulgaricum Bacillicum since childhood, I guess.

Just dug into wiki for it here

And I suppose it has a lot in common with that Tibetan kind of milk, the healthy applications, too.

... the unusually long lifespan of Bulgarian peasants...

lol :) And I am working hard to stay in the poisonous city... At least we still have snowdrop flowers there. And I was surprised to learn that they seem to be the source of the bacteria.

Hahaha I like your name more tho :D nice to know, learned something new once again :)

Kefír, zákys, podmáslí i acidofilní mléko mám rád. I naši kocouři je oceňují :-)

It sure looks disgusting! It looks like sour milk. Meh. :-P
Are you sure that's healthy? And is it tasty?

Haha I'm 100% sure it is :D and taste is half weird half tasty...with protein powder and cinnamon it's actually a desert :)
