How To Apply Single Eyeshadow For A Quick & Simple Look

in #dtube5 years ago

While the vast array of eyeshadow shades looks fun to work with, it can be pretty intimidating for any beginner.

For those who want to start simple, a good start is using a single eyeshadow shade as this will help you learn the basics of eyeshadow application. Without further ado, here are the steps on how to apply single eyeshadow.

Step 1: Prep the Eyelids

There are two good reasons why you should never skip priming the eyelid. For one, eye primers help boost or intensify the eyeshadow colour you use. The other reason is that it helps keep the colour in place for a longer time.

To prime the eyes, you can use an eye primer or hit two birds with one stone with a concealer. The concealer will also help correct discoloration on the lids—but make sure to blend it out for a smooth finish. Top it off with loose powder to keep creasing at bay.

Step 2: Apply the Eyeshadow

How to apply single eyeshadow perfectly? The key to smooth and polished eyeshadow makeup is the blending. Using an eyeshadow brush, apply a single layer of eyeshadow onto the eyelid. Apply it in the middle of the eyelids and work your way outwards. Don’t go beyond the inside corners of the eyelids and the outer corners going to the temples. Make sure to blend out the colour every time you apply a new layer.

Step 3: Polish the Look

Get a clean eyeshadow brush and start blending away to remove some colour at the crease toward the brow bone. Start from the inner corner near the nose all the way to the end of the brows. This will help remove any hard lines or edges as well as make sure the colour doesn’t go up to the brows.

Enhancing Your Look

If you just want to add a subtle hint of colour to your eyes, then you’re all set! However, if you want to add more drama to your eye makeup, you can apply eyeliner and mascara to your lashes. You may also want to experiment and apply a bit of the eyeshadow on the lower lash line starting from the centre to the outer corner to add more depth to the look.

Learning how to apply single eyeshadow is just the first step. When you master this, you can move on to doing double colour or multi-colour eyeshadow techniques, which is pretty exciting!

After all, makeup is an art, and there’s no right way to layer on those eyeshadow colours.

New look!!! By the way blue hair really suits you.... Looking very pretty...

Haha, yes. Thank you 😬 I changed it again because the color was fading, so I thought that it would be a good idea to do it again. This time a little more intense because it will disappear again after some days ☹️

Oh it's not permanent... By the way it's pretty cool....

Oh! That's so much work for me. LOL
I don't usually put makeups..Yeah, a woman coming from ancient times maybe!

But I loved you video..You look amazing and your voice is very soothing. :)
