[EP225] - Update on Narrative

Welcome to my video made exclusively for D.Tube.
Narrative is a Steem competitor. It uses blockchain technology to reward content creators in the NRVE token. Unlike Steem, it is entirely developed by one team who don't seem to listen to the regular contributors at all. Everyone has a reputation score, and everyone can vote as much as they like. The more votes a post gets by high-reputation users, the more rewards that post gets.
Unfortunately the platform has been hit with so much spam that it's virtually unusable. There are also voting-circles that upvote terrible, terrible posts, so it's not a great platform at the moment... for these reasons, as well as the lack of utility mean that the NRVE token has completely plummeted. So now, if you're lucky, a popular post nets you around $3 and a moderately popular post gets you around $1... which doesn't really seem worth it.
It had a lot of promise, but now it's become an example of what not to do.

The $1 and $3 thresholds aren't that far off, or higher than, what other people receive here. Is that a Stake-based system as well? I doubt I'll check it out, to be honest -- one social media site (let alone confusing, up-and-coming, blockchain based social media sites) is enough for me, and I've got my head into Steem already.
That's true... however, $3 for a post is pretty much the maximum you can get, which looking at Trending is totally not the case here.
No, it's not stake-based at all... people can vote as much as they like, but higher-reputation people's votes are weighted more heavily, which basically brings it to a point where the people in the voting-circles, or those with multiple accounts end up higher than literally everyone else.
You're honestly not missing anything... it's plagued with spam and plagiarism.
