Making 250 new Minnows in a Month - Massive shout out to Power UP league Members
Hay everyone its @paulag here from Steem and welcome to my Dtube video
Today I have a very important message to spread about a massive, month long event that I am working on with a team of awesome people. Over the next month we are going to try and make 250 new minnows. This is a massive task and we have started to look at all accounts with between 425sp and 500sp to see who can we boost over the line with votes on their posts and encourage liquid STEEM holders to power up.
I did some initial workings and we need to give around 6K SP worth of votes to a target list of accounts within a month to get about 190 accounts over the line, and we need to convince around 60 liquid STEEM holders to power up.
The coordination of this is massive. The team are contacting people directly on the blockchain that are eligible to become minnows asking them to do an opt-in post confirming they wish to hold minnow status and will be powering up all post earning during this event.
So, this is a shout out to all the graduates of the redfish power up league and the minnow power up leagues. That’s around 80 accounts and I do apologise for the massive tag (which I will put in the comments so not to take up the body of the post), but the coordination of all this is so big, I don’t have the time to reach out to you all individually. I need you to please, consider supporting this project. Help us make 250 new minnows in a month.

We have set up both a guild and a trial. for those that use Steemvoter, the guild name is tenkminnows. That’s tenkminnows one word. You can join the guild and set your voting power and you can also see the accounts we are curating, or on Steemauto we have set up a trail also tenkminnows which you can follow. Tenkminnows is an initiative started by @steevc with the aim of Steem having 10K accounts holding between 500 SP and 5000 SP by the end of 2019. We are kickstarting TenKminnows with a push to create 250 New minnows in a month.

When you say one month for the delegation, until when is that one month? I am asking because the tenkminnows trail description has "... target 250 new minnows in March 19" and we have barely a week to go for March 19.
Steemvoter keeps going in circles and is not loading. Do you have a list of the candidates somewhere else? I think it will somehow be good for us sponsors to see all the candidates whom we are supporting.

I too vote for a curation post - I've never done a vote trail autovote thing.
yes, we plan to make this as easy as possible for people to follow. Oh shit sorry, I had the wong person in my head! I should not Steem on too little sleep. It's from @hitmeasap, and it's not recent, we haven't had a minnow push in a while because it was difficult finding people in that 450-500 sp range.

Yes finding people in that range is hard, ones that are still active anyway. we found over 300 that have been active since christmas but would you believe many of them hold enough liquid to power up and become minnows
Yeah there was a lot of that, too. Or they were powering down.

yep, there are more minnows powering down to redfish than there are redfish powering up to minnows. its a problem

Does this mean that the maximum number of accounts voted with the trail will be 250 per day for the month? People need to be clear on this for how they set up their VP on the trail. I watch my votes very carefully so that I don't exceed my 10 votes per day in order to maximize the benefit of my votes to those who receive them.
I dont think it will get that high. but yes, we should be clear. Right now there is only 4 on it, its opt in and would you believe people are not opting in very fast. at most there could be 150 votes in a day, but that would not be till week 3 or 4. I think for the next week or so it will be less than 20 for sure.
In that case, I will vote manually so I can maximize each vote. Thanks for the clarification.
As for the lack of enthusiasm for opting in: I think a lot of people are either so busy writing stuff that they don't read or they have become discouraged with the platform and don't pay that much attention to it any more. I seem to have lost a few of my regular gamers as well in the past few weeks.
Hopefully the recovery of Steem value brings them back. I see the price is slowly creeping up. I just hope the funding of new initiatives doesn't drive the final nails into Steem's coffin before we get a resurgence of interest. This seems to be the wrong time to be looking at taking more out of the reward pool in order to fund new projects. It is a fine line trying to inspire creativity and keep the masses happy at the same time. Hopefully Steemit Inc. isn't too late in accepting outside help to move the platform forward.
