While today lets talk about STEEM and tbh the activities on Steem Blockchain has been increasing which is really great for us all. While after creating contents and not getting the support can really be tough but come to think of it if you are really thinking long term than probably this will act as a motivation to keep your making your content better in the next one. While nothing is certain and giving all your best is the solution and not giving up at tough situation is indeed the attitude that you should have.
We are Early adopters and we are probably getting much more than the users who will be getting on board in the coming years !! Stay Positive and Don't Quit !!

I think you're right in a lot of what you say here.
Steem is a game of perseverance in regards to content, especially if you're not prepared to buy votes which I always urge everyone to stay away from. After a certain amount of time curation guilds, or dapp curators will notice and reward decent content. My only concern is that the fake economy of bought votes, and the circle jerks that happen at the top, is what drives expectation in new users that a picture with a short two line paragraph can make $5, $6, $10 or even $20. It is unfortunate that these things are happening on our blockchain as they are what create these false expectation.
The blunt truth is that people who spend hours, sometimes days, creating content of high quality and merit should be making those higher payouts and this does not always happen. Curie ensure that it does to an extent, but if we could just shake the negative mechanisms that allow sub-par content to get to trending etc, then new people would have a much better time here.
For example, if everyone who were just sharing a short text with photo post were getting between $0.50 and $3 say, then people coming to steem who want to share this short form content wouldn't end up confused with this insane mindset that they can make a living through 4 hours work/day. Similarly, if all the long well written & well edited articles (or videos, or stories) received a decent payout of lets say $5 - $15 (all these numbers are just examples) then there would be a consistency of value, both in reality, but also in the perceptions people take away with them after coming to steem blockchain. New people do generally learn these issues pretty quick or they can't figure it out and end up frustrated and often leave.
This is why every new steemian should join some of the discord communities that are actively all about steem education for newbies.
P.s. I agree with what you're saying about getting more, or at least the same level of steem for your post as people did a year ago while the dollar value of steem is so cheap. Now is the time to be stacking ;-)
I personally am thanking you for taking the time and sharing your important views. Yes, unfortunately Steem has a long way to go and there are still many flaws with various things and as time is passing by users are getting by it and recognizing the motive and the right way to grab.
While only a particular research of their own and there are communities who are helping (like you stated) are doing their best to make the platform as friendly as possible by helping them. While STEEM should always be the ultimate focus from my perspective.

Early adopters? Hmmm 3 years is quite a while now.
Well that sure is besides compared to the price of steem and still the developments that is going on still there are a lot of rooms for new users aka early adopters !!
