Today is Sunday, no need to work, I find my friend in Jordan, prepare to go home, pass through Temple Street. Temple Street is one of Hong Kong tourist attractions, Hong Kong travel groups usually take tourists to four or five places. Usually go to Victoria Peak, Stanley Market, Repulse Bay and Aberdeen Fishing Village in Hong Kong in the morning, will definitely go to temple street night market in the evening. LOL

Temple Street is actually a very old civilian leisure place, many singers gather here in sixties and seventies, there are many rich man come for picking up girls, so there are also titles of civilian nightclubs. So, most Hong Kong people feel that this area is much of a organized underworld thing. Therefore, many movies use the Temple Street as a background to tell some gang fight scenes.

And now, only old man like go there, so it is also called Man Street. The stalls in this street sell more masculine things, In addition to cheap tourist souvenirs, there are also selling lighters, tobacco, antique watches, some sell men's underwear, some sell adult magazines, and there are many stalls for sex goods.

I used to have a stalls here before and sold some small accessories for mobile phones.
So I revisit the old place, what is the difference now? The only biggest change is that no more Fortune Telling Bird and more tarot card readers now. Still many cantonese opera singers, fortune tellers - palmists, face readers.

After finishing walk around Temple Street, it is time to food. Visitors are here must chose temple street spicy crabs, drunk chicken, stir-fried and deep fried oyster cake. And my favorite is the local famous mixed chicken porridge, but the congee shop is closed today, finally go to the nearby old shop to eat guangdong snake soup. LOL

今日星期天，不用上班，去完佐敦探朋友，準備回家路程中，經過廟街。廟街是香港嘅旅遊景點之一，香港的旅行團一般都會帶遊客去四五個地方。早上一般都會去香港區嘅山頂太平山、赤柱、淺水灣、香港仔漁村。晚間一定會去廟街逛一逛night market啊。

廟街其實係一個很古老平民消閒嘅地方，六七十年代是很多歌廊，紅歌星聚集此處，常有很多有錢人為了泡妞不惜大灑金錢至樂而忘返，所以也有平民夜總會的稱號，始終這個地方，仍然比一般香港人嘅感覺就是很多黑社會聚集，很多老妓女企喺樓梯口招生意的地方，所以很多電影都以廟街做背景講述一些黑幫打鬥場面的地方。

來到我們的年代，廟街已經變得很古舊，祇有六十年代嘅啊伯才會出入嘅地方，所以又叫做男人街。這條街的小店賣的東西都比較男性化，除了一般平價小精品，旅遊紀念品，還有賣打火機煙草古董錶，有的賣男士內褲，有的賣成人雜誌，還有很多性商品的小店。

我一燈都曾經都在這裏擺個小檔，賣過一些手機配件小精品等。所以重遊舊地，就梗係要走一轉以往嘅足跡，睇一睇現在有什麼唔同啦。雖然隔咗十多年其實都冇乜多大變化。
唯一最大變化，就是算命的攤檔沒有了雀仔占卜，因為香港發生過禽流感，所以這些雀仔占卜一早禁止了，馬騮戲，以前真的有些馬騮表演，就是一個馴獸師用一條繩子拖住一隻馬騮叫小馬騮不斷打後空翻的表演，現在一定沒有了如果唔係實俾人告佢虐待動物。廟街最大特色之一的唱大戲，仍然存在，睇掌相面相占卜的小攤檔仍有很多，更加增加了一些年青人的塔羅牌占卜。
行完廟街一圈之後，就係時候找食的地方，一般遊客到這裏食的都是點一些炒蜆炒蟹，炸蠔餅，煲仔飯等等。而我最喜歡就係當地很出名的雜雞粥，但是今天真不夠運，去到粥店門口竟然貼上一張東主有喜休息一天的告示，唯有再找其他的，最終去了附近的老店食蛇羹，這個老店都有大概十多年了，都是冇什麽變化。這個老地方始終仍然很熱鬧。
