Good points. Categorization is important to reference reality and make sense of things. Philosophy helps, like Aristotelian categories of being. The manuals thing is also quite true. They want you to pay someone else to fix things. I fixed my washer last year when it stopped working by looking up manuals and how some people fixed the issue. I rewired to safety connections to bypass and get the washer working again ;)
Same, I always try to fix things when they break haha, but I am not the best fixer. Usually it comes out with a few screws missing, but still works :)
