I love the new way of curation! It’s absolutely the reaction I’ve been looking forward to when I made the video about my opinion of posting multiple times a day.
It should keep people away from that mentality of “If I want to earn more, I need to upload more” more to “If I want an upvote and a high percentaged one I need to make a really good video”.
For once, I disagree. How would you feel that every time you sold something for your job. You would be getting 10% less every time? Although you put more effort into your next sale. Would you keep going and selling or try focus on one "possible" bigger sale once per day?
Brother, I just think what dtube is trying to do is achieving the fairness. Do I 100% agree? No? But I gotta let my ego go sometimes.

On the bright side at least you are still getting upvotes from DTube. I don't get any from the main steemit account.

I can totally see where you are coming from. Having the night and morning to think about the changes, I’ve had new thoughts about it all. Although i see some good in what’s changing, I was unsure what to think about the percentage degradation.
I hate seeing all the saltiness that’s been going around recently, part of the problem I think is that people see the monetary value right on the home page, without even watching your video or clicking on it, they instantly come to a conclusion that you don’t deserve the money stamped on it.
As one of my favourite creators here, it sucks to see you knocked back by this, and not be encouraged to keep improving, at the end of the day, if I was an outsider looking in, I’d expect to see great work being rewarded as validation that it was all a solid investment of time and effort.

I need to ask you this: If you state that for you the most important thing is the community and NOT the upvotes, why is this curation change making you lose motivation making you want to create less content?
In my opinion this changes are good for the community, and when I say the community I mean the majority of it. Isn´t the community the most important thing for you like you said?

Nah, you're all good. It's because honestly I was investing all my spare time into making DTube videos and watching others. My long term plans to use my steempower for the better is still there. But rather the rate I was going I would only be getting like 1% upvotes for videos that suck up multiple hours of my day. I'm sure you value your time as well.
But there's an upside to everything. I gain more time now to venture into other platforms on the Steem blockchain. Thanks for the comment!

I totally understand you about getting less percentage because it does suck in a way, I won't deny that, but I guess they want to evenly distribute it...also to newer people or to ones who never got the upvote before.
What I can say is diversify brother. If you already say that you have plan b c d then do it on dlive brother ;)

Their tone wasn't wrong, I was one of the ones in the spotlight. But I like to think I used it the right way.

I dunno man, I feel like this is just DTube trying something and they're not always gonna get it right.
But...
I'm stuck in a job where my lords and masters, Post Office Ltd, have slowly eroded the business down to the point where I'm down to no staff, just me, and making fuck all money. I've been doing it for ten years and, each year, I'd think to myself - surely a jewel on the British high street, wholly owned by the Government, albeit as a private enterprise, surely they're gonna stop fucking with it and make it good?
But they haven't.
BUT, DTube is being run by -- I would hope -- young people with drive and vision. Lack of biz experience? Maybe. Have they fucked up? Probably? Will they fix it? I should bloody well hope so. Could we be wrong? Sure!
Look at me though - 46, failing business, no savings (all spent buying the PO franchise as an investment - yeah, I know) but watching young creative people crushing it with content and strategy and planning and engagement and LIVING. Have you any idea how inspiring that is to people who've never really seen anything like this before?
But keeping your head in the sand, as I have with the Post Office, and just hoping that they fix it isn't really a strategy at all, and if the strongest creators on DTube are unhappy, and you're one of them for sure, then they would do well to start thinking about the future. I've seen you post before about the advantages of not having all your content on one platform.
I know whatever you do you'll be successful, and if you go elsewhere, I'll probably continue to tune in. Just know that you and the other DTube Daily fam really have changed this middle aged Scottish-guy's life through your wit, charm, humour and hustle.
