DTube Revolution // Eagle Spirit Visits Ojo CalientesteemCreated with Sketch.

in #dtubesnapplus5 years ago

Hello Fam,

During my summer in the four corners I visited one of my favorite locations situated on Native American lands. Funny enough my Apache ancestors did not want anyone telling them where to live, but the government tried time and time again to force them to live on these lands.

My forefather Geronimo fought his nomadic heart out to not be captured, but did settle on these lands temporarily from time to time. Currently, Paiute tribal members run the spa and I always feel at home. This is my special happy place that brings me a joyful connection to healing lands, water, sights, and smells.

This short video is a compilation of my photography, music from a dear friend of mine who allows me to use his work, and allows you to see a bit of what I see and feel when I visit one of my sacred places. Enjoy!

Eagle Spirit

Very nice... enchanting music also.
One of my favorite places to visit was Chaco Canyon... a few yr ago, they building new visitors centers and other enhancements... have you visited that place? (It’s about 2.5 hr drive). I’m really wanting to get back to the Southwest for a bike tour!

Thank you so much! Glad you liked the music too. Yes I took a summer tour of the area, I live not too far away and I have written blogs about each location. Chaco is coming up. I just posted about the Anasazi heritage center yesterday. All part of the canyon of the Ancients. It’s a large part of me finding my ancestry, a book theme I’m putting together too. Road To My Amcestors. Bike tour sounds fun!

Very interesting… Like to know more about your book as it unfolds… Please make sure to try and post something about Chaco… that place really spoke to me when I was there… The national Park Rangers game some really fascinating information… And I could really imagine myself there when the place was an epicenter of trade and culture… I was really captivating… My family and I went there on the same trip as our weeklong camp out at Mesa Verde… Another one of my favorite places… In fact, that is my favorite national Park by far!

So yeah as I said one is coming up about Chaco, I’m not sure if I will make a video or blog. So much easier to video. Maybe a mix of both. The rangers were okay. I had a personal tour so ... these are my ancient homelands and I am half Native American. Not raised In the area but ... it’s home on earth. Yes Mesa verde is truly spectacular and I did a blog on That awhile ago. It’s lovely. I still need to get to Hopi land and sod
Areas of Utah like Moab before I decide. I love way to many national parks. Oh and I have to get to Yellowstone.

I’ll have to look at your previous posts… Thanks

@eaglespirit
Nice photos, looks like an awesome little spa, very sunny and warm...
Geronimo... Interesting character, when looking back do you see him as an American or Apache?

Thank you FF, I really love photography and now this video production is quite awesome. The place is beautiful. It’s really the land, water, etc. but it is a bit fancy too. Lol Geronimo is apache.

@eaglespirit
Well, it looks like a nice place to rest ...
I read up a bit on Geronimo, I mean I knew he was a great and feared warrior, didn't know he also did healing and was psychic, and then in his later years a churchgoer, but then again it's wikipedia and people write all kinds of stuff there. Very interesting life story...
