Aki Nabalu
Last Tuesday, I went for a movie date with my hubby. I wanted to watch the movie about the story of our own Mount Kinabalu, that is the "Tangisan Aki Nabalu". Where their actors and actress are our owned local peoples. They played with the slang and intonation just like the Sabahan. It makes us feel that the movie is very near to us.
This is a story about Mount Kinabalu that has shaken the whole Sabah with fear. Jun 5, 2015, has made its history when an earthquake has hit Ranau and affects the Mount Kinabalu and damaged its structures. Other places nearer to Ranau also affected like Kota Belud, Tamparuli, Tuaran and even Kota Kinabalu and its surrounding. It is sad to see the damaged of the mountain. You can see from the pictures below.

Back to the movie, It's a good story in my opinion. But, I felt the storyline is very short and it is amended slightly (I guess 😅). I don't know whether the funny part should be in the story I felt this movie is very sensitive to Sabahan peoples. The Mount Kinabalu is the most prestigious and Sabah's pride. Maybe the director feels it is to make the movie alive as the storyline is very simple and short.
Overall, this movie is interesting and recommended to watch. Sabahan Steemian come and support this movie ya 🤗
