What lessons will you take with you for your potential next life if you die tomorrow!? @ecotrain question of the week

in #ecotrain6 years ago (edited)

Ahh what a question, and one well worth considering whilst we are still alive! For me there is no question that there will be a next life, but just what kind of life it will remains a mystery. The choices we make here in this life are the ones that will dictate what choices we make when we leave our bodies and discover the celestial realm once again. Sometimes we are guided right back to earth, to continue learning and deepening our life lessons, or we may continue onwards in the higher realms and dimensions. If we are ready, we may merge back into all that this, the universal one consciousness of Love. These are not ideas, words, or a theory of things.. this is who we are, and whatever we think today, we will all once again discover and remember who we really are sooner or later.

Isn't it interesting how different we all are! Some of us are so polite, kind, loving, and giving. Others are very angry, mean, and abusive. I find it even more interesting when we see the strength and gifts of some very young children who clearly have talents way beyond their years.. and those OLD SOULS as we commonly call them, are here to share and discover ever more depth to life. And to keep this thread going, I find it perplexingly interesting that so many people speak of OLD SOULS, or say that someone probably did something in a previous life. How can we deny that we are infinite, eternal, and can never die.. ever! We know in our core that this is true, but many people are sceptical because our ego will not let us admit 'certain things' for a host of reasons.

So this weeks question is quite poignant for me, because the lessons we take with us to our next life are almost ALL WE TAKE from this world! Our character is of utmost importance, and is why I write passionately about it when I speak about the education system. It is our character that defines us, it is our character that creates our opportunities, it is our character that determines the quality of life that we will lead, as well as others! If I die tomorrow, then it is fair to say that after 45 years in this body of Alex I have sure learned a whole load of stuff that I would most certainly want to take with me to my next life. So Let me briefly share them with you.

I'm EVEN going to attempt to put these in order of importance with the first point being of most importance!

balance

Ahhhh, oohhhhh... balance! Is there anything more important? Without balance there is no love, there is no compassion, there is no patience, there is no giving, there is no care, there is no compassion, there is no integrity. Need i say more? In this life I have learned time and time again, that balance in all its forms, in all its meanings, is the key to everything. If we can live in balance with our world, our minds, our food.. if we can BE balanced then we have a great foundation for everything else!

love

the greatest thing you will ever learn is to love and be loved in return.

There is no power that is stronger than love. Just as water can erode the hardest stone, love can soften the hardest hearts. I have witnessed the power of love to transform others almost every moment of my life. When you smile and give your heart to the world, she holds you in deep surrender. We can learn nothing if we haven't learned about love first for that is bond that unites all life.

compassion

I am you, you are me. When we know this truth in our hearts, we live in compassion with every breath. Compassion flows from our hearts and listens. She is the sister of love, and is a great gift we can give to others. It is our natural quality.

patience

All good things come to those who wait!

giving : help ever - hurt ever

When we give with no desire of reward or recognition we are truly giving. There are an infinite number of ways to give, and all of them take time, consideration, and empathy. When we know our oneness with others, their happiness is our happiness and so when we give we are also receiving great gifts that I will call UPLIFTMENT!

ABC always be careful

I have made my fare share of 'mistakes 'in this life and many of them stem from not being careful. Whether I was driving too fast, or making huge snap decisions, or being swayed by fear.. it never hurts to always be careful!

Do no harm

Causing harm, pain, suffering either intentionally or unintentionally is terrible thing that can live and persist in the world for a very long time.. not to mention the repercussions and knock on effects of causing harm to others or the world. I always try to do no harm to animals, insects, and even ants and bugs. If nothing else, it makes you feel beautiful and connected and part of the engine of life to care for things, even inanimate objects! Last week I gave CPR to a cockroach, it had drowned in my sink and seemed to be moving a bit. It didn't work out, but my connection or respect to that 'roach was no less just because it is small.

Leave things better than when you found them

A good motto to live by, and one that ultimately will leave the world a much better place.

Always keep a promise

Honour, Respect, Integrity, these are the qualities of an evolved being. Sometimes we have to make sacrifice in life, and we can only do so when we know and understand all the points above!

Don't put off 'till tomorrow what I can do today!

There's one easy way to keep life flowing, if I always did this my home would be spotless! ;-)

Qawwali Poem - Dayar-e-Ishq - Set your own standard on the soil of love.

The angels began to speak behind Iqbal
'This creation of clay is of heavenly nature.
He taught the angels the restlessness of Man
and taught Man the mastery of angels...'

Set your own standard on the soil of divine love!
Neither are you for the earth or the skies.

This world is for you,
not that you are made for it.

There are worlds beyond the stars that are seen,
yet the trials of Love are still to be seen

Create a new world,
Create a new morn and evening.
Set your own standard on the soil of love.

Create a place for thyself in the world of love;
Create a new age, new days, and new nights.

If God grant thee an eye for nature's beauty,
converse with the silence of flowers; respond to their love.

My ghazal is the essence of my life-blood,
create thy elixir of life out 'of this essence.

My way of life is poverty, not the pursuit of wealth.
Barter not thy Selfhood, make a name in adversity.

Set your own standard on the soil of divine love.

I leave you with the most INSPIRING music I can share.
When i connect with this music, i know that most important thing is Love.

Very good blog. Superb your thinking

Thanks for passing on those wonderful lessons! Great reminders to us all for how to live a better life!

So. Beautiful. What a joy to spend some time on your page tonight. You are a genuinely giant hearted human.
As a fellow bioligist, I gotta know. How did you cpr a roach? Don't they take in oxygen through their exoskeletons? And I can't even remember the deal with their circulation. In any case, you're sweet. I do almost always just move them outside. spiders can stay. Mosquitos, dr flies, and scorpions all face the death penalty in the house. The lizards and spiders get most of the bugs, though. They're good friends to have about. In our last house, we had bats, and I loved them. We even nursed one back to health that had fallen in the empty bathtub and gotten stuck under the kids' scuba mask. He was a baby, and local people told me to kill him thinking he was a vampire bat, but he wasn't. Vampire bats have horribl mean little faces, and this guy was so cute.
