Grants for International Tree Planters

in #ecotrain5 years ago

My Brave Browser sent me an ad about free grant searches today. I was curious because, well, free money. Of course, my first thought was tree money!

So far, I've clicked one of them. Not available to the US yet, but this one is available to a lot of other people, mostly in Africa.

According to their application site, Green Earth Appeal has money available to people in the following countries:

Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa, formerly Zaire), Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo (Brazzaville), Reunion, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome & Principe, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Western Sahara, Zambia, Zanzibar, Zimbabwe.

Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, China,Colombia, Cyprus, Georgia, Haiti, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Macau, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Yemen.

Y'all know what I want to see here. I want to see someone establish a food forest.

That's a short video from Geoff Lawton about establishing a food forest. Of course, there's more to it than that, but his depth of understanding these systems really shines in this new video. I've been gravely lacking nitrogen fixers, which are a crucial first step in food forestry. I've been focusing on obtaining a yield. Next year, more nitrogen fixers.

Anyways, I figured this would come in handy for someone. @treeplanter and @thegreens come to mind initially, but resteem and tag folks to spread the word. I'd love to see a steemian get funding for their ecological projects. @artemislives, maybe someone in your area could benefit from this? Thailand specifically isn't mentioned, but I know you get around over there :) @bghandade, do y'all have anyone in any of those countries? There's some listed there in Europe. @gogreenbuddy, maybe you know someone? @buckaroo! Need trees? They increase water retention in a landscape... @craigcryptoking FREE TREES!

All action for the good of all.

Nate.

Some of these are exchange addresses so that I'll get notifications of deposits. From there, the funds will either be moved to wallets that I control, exchanged for steem to boost my influence here, or to USD to fund a project.

Buying crypto with fiat? Consider using my coinbase referral link and we'll both get $10 in Bitcoin for free when you buy it sell $100 worth of crypto! An automatic 10% return is a good hedge in bear markets.

Great find man! We don't know anyone in those countries but still, great find! I know there are strong African community here on Steemit but not sure how to reach them.

I DO LOVE the global generosity of spirit here, my dear brother on steem. Thank you. Our Karen Community "across river" as we locally call it, are technically in Burma and would qualify. MUCH appreciated! I used to teach grant writing at university level in Australia, back in the day, LOL.... so yes, maybe the wider Karen community will be able to apply for $$$ inside Burma to start reforesting some burned out, demined villages. I shall consult with my US military advisers and the Karen community leaders.

Loving your global spirit!
