Sharing my story as the conflict rocking the two Anglophone regions of Cameroon deteriorates, an appeal to support the internally displaced persons(IDPs).

Sharing my story, as the conflict rocking the two Anglophone regions of Cameroon. Since the advent of 2017 the said crisis which started in 2016 with street protests by Lawyers and later teachers asking for basic reforms was later in 2017 transformed into armed conflicts.

This has grossly brought untold suffering to the masses who are already paying a devastating prize.

It first started with the burning down of villages by the military, human rights violations by both military and separatists movements or groups. We live with daily horrors of civilians killed on daily basis, houses burnt, etc.

There has however been mass movements of persons for security reasons as killing by the military has been indiscriminate. Despite international calls that the Cameroon government should engage in all inclusive dialogue, she has continued with her hide and seek game. The central towns have been flooded with people fleeing from the conflict hit zones across the regions.

In the North West region of the country for example, the city is full with young people living under horrible conditions. This sterns from lack of food, accommodation, clothing, dressing, poor hygienic conditions.

This experience has not been easy, as some are living in the bushes under horrible conditions. They come from all walks of life with women more vulnerable to negative vices such as prostitution, abortions and teenage pregnancies, crime wave etc.

For God's sake, the right to safe determination is never a crime and will never be, so therefore let's join our voices to Shawn another Rwanda genocide which is already taking place in the two Anglophone regions of Cameroon.
There has been plenty of job losses, as i am currently a victim since May, 2018 which saw our company shutdown till this day.

I am grateful to Mr. Greens who introduced me into the Steemit community. The conflict in Cameroon was sometime reported upon by @manka, @mr. greens and thanks to mr. greens for the training of young girls for free at his Eco-design hub principally using waste textile to produce dresses and other Eco-friendly products.

As it continue to deteriorate, the influx of migrants into main cites is on a steady rise, with about 40000 to 50000 refugees in Nigeria, with several hundred thousands internally displaced, whereas the government continue to play hide and seek irrespective of the reports by the human rights watch, human rights abuses continue to be on a steady rise as targeting killings are on-going, people burnt in their houses, foodstuff burnt, looting, attack on hospitals, medical personnel killed as well as clergymen.

Things continue to get from bad to worse in these two regions, reason why the appeal to support the IDPs in the region so as to support them with food, cloths, accommodation, support young girls to undergo vocational training to enable become financially independent, etc. Life among these IDPs has not been easy and still continue, as there is every evidence that this conflict will not last anytime soon.

As appeal for the support of these IDPs, i am equally appealing for the intervention of the international community as people continue to be killed on daily basis, it is really pathetic to know that we still believe legitimate grievances can only be resolved by the barrel of the gun. I am therefore writing with a heavy heart as many have not been able to this opportunity to be on this great platform.

As we pray for a quick solution, as well play our own role to ensure that we avert another genocide from occurring in this part of the world. Because apologies after as the case of Rwanda will not be accepted and we only pray God gives us the courage to move on and at the same time appreciating your support.
