I'm sure by now you have all heard of the tide pod challenge and snorting condoms. These are just the tip of the iceberg of stupid, dangerous trends kids are following these days. Back in my day things were a lot more simple. We had pogs, pegs, tamagotchis, yo-yos and rubix cubes, none of which could kill or harm you. (Sorry for showing my age)

I guess we live in a 1-up society that's currently trending towards disaster. The desire to "out-do" each other has us escalating our trends all in the name of internet likes, comments and followers.

Ego is poisoning our next generations with the aid of social media. It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. What can be done? How do you kill ego? This my friend is the next great battle.

Ego is a cancer with profound ramifications. A detachment from the rest of the universe unable to effectively contribute towards the collective evolution. Blinded by individualism and materialism, the ego creeps up seeking to turn your infinite self into a finite name and serial number. Once detached, greed, hatred, war, and pollution are bred into existence.

If you're not careful, ego will consume you too. But hey, it's great for business, so by all means keep comparing your life to others and seeing yourself as separate. It's great for corporate profits! Just think of of the money that can be made before we destroy our planet. Oh wait, how can we spend our weatlth on a dead rock?...
