Story: Children, shark in sight!

Our ship was anchored on the coast. The day was beautiful, with a cool breeze from the sea; But at night the climate changed: it became suffocating and, like the hot desert air, dragged us like a stove in the oven.

SourceBefore sunset, the captain climbed on deck and shouted: "Naden!" And in a minute the sailors jumped into the water, lowered the sail to the water, tied it and prepared a bath.

On the boat with us there were two children. The boys jumped into the water for the first time, but they were very close to the sail and decided to swim in a race on the high seas.

Both, like the lizards, were dragged into the water and, they swam to the place where the canyon was on the anchor.

A boy first came to his friend, but then began to fall behind. The father of the boy, an old gunner, was on the deck and admired his little son. When the son began to fall behind, the father shouted: "Do not give up! Go ahead!"

Suddenly, someone shouted from the deck: "Shark!", "Shark!" "Shark!" And we all saw a sea monster in the water.

The shark floated just above the children.

• Back Shark - shouted the gunner. But the boys did not hear it, they floated more, they laughed and they shouted even happier and stronger than before.

The gunner, pale as a sheet, without moving, looked at the children.

The sailors lowered the boat, they launched themselves towards him and, folding the oars, they ran, to the children; but they were still far from them when the shark was not more than twenty paces away.

At first, the children did not hear what they were screaming and did not see the sharks; but then one of them looked around, and we all heard a heart-rending cry, and the children swam in different directions.

This screams as if it woke the gunner. He shot out and ran towards the guns. He turned the trunk, reached for the gun, pointed and took the wick.

Everyone, no matter how many of us were on the ship, we froze with fear and waited for what would happen.

SourceA shot sounded and we saw that the gunner had fallen near the barrel and had covered his face with his hands. We did not see what happened to the shark and the children, because for a moment the smoke filled our eyes.

But when the smoke dispersed over the water, a murmur was heard everywhere, then this murmur grew louder, and ... Finally, a loud and cheerful cry came from all sides.

When I opened my eyes, I got up and looked at my father, finishing the story he told my brother and me.
