Direct experiences represent an important factor in the educational environment, and these experiences favor the development and acquisition of the skills necessary for the execution of functions that require awareness, understanding and action.

The realization and execution of these experiences is to go beyond the theory, is to reinforce what has been learned and turn it into an invaluable practice that generates personal satisfaction.

As educators or motivators of education, stimulating and encouraging learning through direct experiences becomes a challenge that bears fruit in the future development of children.


Direct experience of students as paramedics.


It is intended that children learn what they should do in a situation that requires rapid action, that is, where they have to call, the application of basic CPR, determining how far they are able to reach. This practice is good because somehow they are given basic notions of emergency.

Some of the activities that will be carried out will be the following:

  • Attention to fractures.
  • Bandages.
  • How to transport the victims on the stretcher.
  • Call emergency.
  • Assistance with cardiopulopar resuscitation.
The ability of the child to face any situation should not be underestimated, presumably the educators or representatives should prevent and help, but we should sow conscience in the children who are the future drivers of their lives.

Objectives of direct experience as paramedics.

  • Assist in any presented eventuality.
  • The acquisition of basic notions of first aid.
  • Losing fear and performing procedures that require action instead of being paralyzed in the middle of the eventuality.
  • Help those who need it.
  • The preparation for the challenges of life.

The role of the educator, so that the experience of children as paramedics is successful.

The educator has the duty to take the children to an activity that puts into practice the theory learned.

It is necessary that what has been heard repeatedly become practice, so that they can save lives when they least imagine it.

It is explained to the students that they must carry out this first aid practice since it is something significant and valuable, which will be taught by qualified personnel in the field, which will clarify all the doubts they have.

Learning activities in practice as paramedics.


Students will be taught to identify emergency situations and know how to react when it happens, is the goal of this activity.

It is about children becoming familiar with techniques such as CPR, which in the hands of anyone can help save many lives.

Activities:

Explain the procedures to be executed so that your work as a paramedic in any situation is successful.

The importance of having basic knowledge about first aid, of knowing how to act, should be explained, since it will be beneficial for oneself and to help those around us.

By speaking clearly and concisely on the subject, students will understand that being prepared to offer help is valuable, since it can save a life.

It is necessary to understand that the favorable responses of the person receiving assistance and their positive reaction will depend on the immediate attention given to them.

Attend a faint.

The first thing you should do is call the person to see if he reacts; in case of not doing so, it presents a state of unconsciousness and that is an emergency.

You should call the emergency number to be aware of the event and so they can arrive on time, but in the meantime, you must act responsibly and remain calm; Carrying out the following steps:

Verify that the person breathes, and that is done by extending the head towards the nose of the victim, stating that he exhales hot air, then we observe his belly, which is a symptom that coincides with breathing.

Place one arm back and the other on the person's belly, raise one knee and the movement function is performed to the person who is helping.

If the person does not react, wait for the arrival of emergencies or transfer the patient to the closest care center.

Cardiac resuscitation massage.

When people do not react, place one hand on the other and place them in the center of the person's chest, exerting pressure as a kind of drop that falls step by step and counting to determine the reaction time.

The procedure is the next:

  • Thirty (30) compressions.
  • Two (02) insufflations during five cycles.
When this step is completed, the pulse is verified in five seconds. If the patient has a pulse, he is not given compressions, but if he does not have a pulse, resuscitation is still applied by means of compressions.

Children will learn to act in a timely manner, as the minutes in an emergency save lives and may be the first to respond to such an eventuality.

Placing a splint in a lesion.

The instructor to explain how to react and perform the procedures, while they are going to do the practice, explaining step by step.

It is necessary to ask the injured person where it hurts to verify what happens to him. If the fracture manifests hemorrhage, it should be controlled; otherwise, the person is placed in the correct position and the splint is performed.

The affected part must be immobilized, either finger, arm, leg, placing fixed tablets one in the lower part and the other in the upper part, holding with some kind of support, avoiding discomfort. This is done while being attended by qualified personnel in the field.

Placement of the collar and transfer on a stretcher.

It involves locating the victim from the prone position, to the supine position, the resources that will be used should be:

  • Necklace.
  • Transfer stretcher.
  • Lady of Elche.
  • Spider for the spinal board.
For the placement of the collar, the victim must be in supine position, one child should keep the head of the person in a neutral position, while another measures the distance from the tip of the collar to the jaw of the patient, placing it under the head of the patient. patient. the victim. Once that step is completed, the child holding the head should never release the affected individual.

 
After completing the placement of the collar, the patient moves to the stretcher, children must be supported by the legs, shoulder or back, and always the head of lateral decubitus, this procedure must be done with great care, taking the stretcher what as close as possible to the victim, and when he turns around, insert the spinal plate under it, letting it fall gently while holding it.

Then the elite lady's braces are placed, which prevents the victim from moving her head, and, in turn, the placement of the spider ribbons is done from the head to the feet.

Once the required steps have been completed, the transfer action is carried out by lifting the stretcher with the victim and moving it to the place where the necessary attention will be given.

Teaching students to defend themselves to help others is to prevent an unfortunate event, therefore, the practice of these activities reinforce the knowledge and give rise to the good judgment of the person to act without fear.
