Hi, their Community!, this is @oppongk, once again we are sharing on how to structure our educational system that to improve performance of our students.

Today, I am very delighted to share with you on the importance of In-service Training for our Teachers. Teachers for about seven percent contribution to the students learning and improved performance, since their quality output of work will determine the students performances. If their their output stand high, the students will tend to reflect on those output by the teachers, however, if their output are low, the student will tend to perform poorly in all their academic work.

Because of this, there are so many contributing factors to teachers performance in teaching and learning of students, and one of them is "In-service Training. " How many times do teachers in your country receive in-service training in a term, semester or year? At least within the year teachers must have training Nation wide or in Regional or District basis. This will really help to equip the teachers to be always familiarise with the contents that they were trained or taught on for so many years ago. They might have forgotten some of the contents or topics they learn in their training colleges and universities and as such given them tuition or training will refresh their minds on those contents.

In-service Training can also be in a form of diversification of the old curriculum to improve the educational system which will help the current trends of how the World is moving now. In order for the teachers to get absorbed of the new model of the educational system, they have to be trained on the new syllabus and content of the curriculum to aid teaching and learning. And recently, Ghana is doing well on this In-training, last year educational reforms to help fast reading in students lower Primary Schools took place(Transforming Teacher Education and Learning- T-TEL, Ghana). This training really helped students in lower Primary to read fluently. Today as we speak, another training of teachers from Kindergarten 1to Primary 6 is ongoing. All the teachers in this categories have been organised at the District basis for the effective training of the New Curriculum in Ghana. This is make some reforms of the subjects that we teach in basic Schools. It is not the Primary Schools alone, the Junior High Schools are also among, which they will also have their later.

I believe learning or receiving training does not end in ones life, since everyday new things keep coming into this World of which we need to know a lot from them. Thank you for being part in this Community and our project here.
