Mass:
Let lift a two wooden blocks of different sizes..a) smaller one 2) larger one.which one will be heavier ?
Larger block will be heavier because quantity of matter is more as compared to the smaller one .
In other words we can say larger block has more mass than the smaller one .So,the mass can be defined as
"The total quantity of matter in a body is called its mass"
Mass is the basics characteristics of a body.
SI unit of mass is Kilogram .
Measurement of mass can be made by different ways ,1)Beam balance 2)lever balance 3) electronic balance.
