Skin: The epidermis contains a fair amount of wear, thanks to its role as the outermost layer of body protection. These skin cells rejuvenate every two to four weeks.

Hair: The life span of the body's natural fuzz is about six years for women and three years for men.

Liver: The liver is a detoxifier of the human body, which purifies various types of contaminants from our system. It is aided in the process by a continuous blood supply and remains largely immune to damage from these toxins by renewing itself with new cells every 150 to 500 days.

Stomach and intestine: The cells that line the surface of the stomach and intestines have a hard, short life. Cooked continuously by corrosives such as stomach acids, they typically last only five days.
