Our value is very dependent on the environment

A father ordered his son to carry the stone he had and asked his son to bring the stone to the market. His father said "If there are people who want the stone then asked how much it is, you don't say anything but just show your two fingers". So the stone was brought to the market and there was a mother approaching the child asking how much the stone was. The child said nothing but only showed his two fingers. Then the mother took 2,000 rupiah and gave it to the child.

The child went home telling his father that there was a mother who gave him 2,000 rupiah for the stone. Then the father told him to bring another stone, and asked his son to go to the museum to do the same thing. "If someone wants the stone, don't say anything but just show your two fingers." The child goes to the museum, but not how long there is a tourist looking at the stone. Then ask "What is the price of the stone?" The child showed both of his fingers, and the tourist gave 200,000 rupiah while saying that "the stone is old enough and rarely found".

For the third time Dad told the boy to bring a stone. This time told to go to a diamond shop to do the same thing. "If someone wants the stone, don't say anything but just show your two fingers." After arriving at the diamond shop, someone approached him. He asked how much the price of the stone then the child showed his two fingers. The person gave the child 2,000,000 rupiah, saying that "the stone is old enough and rarely found".

After returning home to see his father and told him that there was someone who gave 2,000,000 rupiah. The father tells his child that the price of the same stone with a different place, people will judge differently. The father gives advice to his child that everyone has a diamond inside him. The diamond will appear to be of value depending on where the diamond is located. When the child brings the diamond to the market, the diamond is considered a stone that can be used to block the door, the value is very low. When the diamond is brought to the right place, namely the diamond shop, the value of the stone becomes high.

Lessons Learned

From the story above, I learned that everyone has the potential that is in him. The question is how to explore the potential that is in a person. If we could explore the potential that exists within a person then I would get a lot of diamonds. Of course we have to build on the potential that exists within us so that the value that is in us will be felt by others.
