Some time ago I’ve written about the ‘best’ time to submit a blogpost so you’ll receive worldwide exposure.
I came up with the term 4 o'clocky and I thought this might be a great idea to make a blogpost every day at 4 o'clock local time with this title. Every day I’ll submit a blogpost about something that keeps me busy, a challange, a contest or something important enough to share so Lets blog on and See you every day here at 4 !

This My 4 o’clocky for today....

Every now and than I have school-lunch-duty,
Its 30 minutes watching the kids eat and than afterwards play in the schoolyard. After those duties I often think if you don't have a kid or kids you wont believe this is the world nowadays. Some kids are not trained in eating or for that matter talking. They are like animals. Not to mention the way they disrespect authority. The duty is about 3 times a year. And to be honest those 3 times are enough to decide 1. Some kids cannot enter My home 2. That some kids needs meds 😬 3. Some kids not alot but some need a New set of parents to teach them about life.

I wouldnt want to be a teacher, I wouldnt know how I was supposed to stay calm and Nice to some off them.

This looks calm and Nice but a zoo was a better place to be on friday!

This was group 5 and the kids are like 8-9. There were 31 off them. They were allowed to Watch a special kids news bulletin and eat. After that also 30 minutes to play in the schoolyard.

That was last friday. And tonight a tv serie is starting again about the schoolyard duties and snake pit that school sometimes is.
In the Netherlands we have a tv show and tv hit called DE LUIZENMOEDER
Every week about 2,6 million parents Watch the show.

If You thought you were done with the sheer pressure of parenting and if you thought you left your high school behind you. You are WRONG.
Once you have a school-going kids or like me, 4 !, the memories unfortunately come back ....... HARD !!! It is true I see it every other day in our schoolyard. So that tv show can be inspired on My experiences.

I worked at a kids camp and we actually got to a point to where we would carry kids plates for them on spaghetti night as it would never fail we'd have 2 or 3 kids drop their plates every week.

We'd at least have a group of workers sitting with the kids throughout the lunch room so things never got too crazy, but I could see where in different circumstances it could be a mad house! Best of luck the next time you have lunch duty!

I think thats the best advice being everywhere , but for a amateur and a mum 3 times a year is the max, i didnt choose to be a teacher , i am not fit to be one hahaha

The more the time parents need to work... The less time they have to raise their kids properly. It's sad but that's how it goes.

Well i disagree i work my ass off but i learned the kids to properly eat their Bread and talk Nice to adults its all in the small things i think

I don't think you understood me...

A lot of years ago, kids would be raised by their parents most of the time, as they had more free time for family.

Nowadays, kids spend more times on the street, at school (or kindergarten) or with nannies... than with their own parents. If they're very lucky, there's a grandmother to keep them while parents are working. At least, that's what I see around me.

Point is, kids used to spend a lot more time with their parents than they do these days. And this will be reflected on how they grow.

Ohhhh i did understand it wrong sorry and you are right

Okay.. I have to watch this "Luizenmoeder" show! We are still struggling with the problem of other kid's parents decided not to bother with dealing with Luizen... they figure it is not their problem!

Anyway, I'm glad we don't have any roster duties this month... last year I would have to do the voorlezen... which was a complete terror for me to do! This year, my wife is helping with the maandviering... but so far, nothing else required... yet!

Well this was last friday, and tomorrow i have to drive to a musical.
Butthe moms drivingare not allowed to see the musical, its very strange that school stuff hahahaah

How did the voorlezen go?

Well... it was last year, so the kids were just in the onderbouw... they say they understand me, and if they asked me what a word meant... half the time, I would have to tell them to ask the teacher!

Hi
I consider and admire your work which is sacred to me.
I know it's not easy for you. But when you pick up the results of your effort at the end of the year, that's really a sense of glory for a future generation of doctors, lawyers, teachers ..... etc.

For the number 4, I think it's good but hard at the same time, because writing an article, as important, every 4 hours is a real challenge.
For me I chose 24 hours for two articles, because my work in my company takes me a lot of time.

Thank you brittandjosie and waiting for your article.
Thank you for following me.

I only have 3 times duty a year

Dear Britt,

And to be honest those 3 times are enough to decide 1. Some kids cannot enter My home 2. That some kids needs meds 😬 3. Some kids not alot but some need a New set of parents to teach them about life.

You are right on these because honestly, some kids even in our side of the planet can be really unruly. I wanted to put the blame on the kids themselves- getting used to having their ways and thinking that as kids, they can get away with anything. But now I realized, its partly the fault of the kids and a lot more fault of their parents because, here in my country, if the kids cry, the parents would usually indulge them to get their way and, make the kids stop crying- that's the generation today.

It was not in my time. Back then, when I so much whimper because I cannot get my own way, my parents would usually punish me more.

I am not a parent myself but, I had been baby sitting a lot of kids and, my job before as a pediatric nurse taught me this: you have to set a clear line.

Kind regards,

Anne

Hi dear , you are so right just like in “normal life “ bounderies are nesseccary, that what life is about. But for Some authority is very difficult.
The reason why can also be something else, thats why i try to keep an open mind, but these duties tell me two things , i dont do a bad job with the 4 kids we have, and i do not have it in me to be a teacher.
But duty is duty i did this and stillhave to do two other jobs Lets see what they bring.....

I'm one of those ones working with the kids but I chose to work with the younger ones - PreK where they are first being introduced to school. It's a "Play and Exploration" program so we have lots of fun and lots of leeway to what we present to the kids.
It's really clear some of the attitudes and habits they are bringing from home and it's part of our job to show them some better habits or behaviors so they don't grow up being that kid who throws themselves on the floor in a fit when they are 9 or 11 years old!
It can be very trying at times but also very rewarding!

I salute you ! In the netherlands the school system changed two years ago so special needy kids are in classes with not needy kids and thats challanging
And Some of the language off the kids is outrageous.

4 o'clock which time zone?:)

In CET europe thats my best time it can also be that yours is at another time

Interesting, this is the first time I am seeing kids watch tv during their lunch hour. Is it because it helps them keep calm?

It's unfortunate that there are hard times for kids. I would like to blame technology and debt. Technology keeps the kids connected to screens rather than to each other and outdoors, and debt in the sense where there are such big loans to be paid off, so the parents work longer, harder to get a raise. Brings more stress to the household and the kids get forgotten in the middle of it. Some people can handle it better than others, some people aren't in as much debt and are more fortunate. Some parents have had a rough upbringing and are learning to work with it as they learn with their children. It's a tough world out there. Doing what we can with what we got I guess?

Yes its the 9 oclock news for kids we have the adult and childrens journal on the Digi board after that its turned off. The topics of the news ate spoken about with the teacher after lunch. They even have to answer 5 questions every day on paper , to make sure they listened so they arend loud and noisy and eating together with learning something

Oh, that's pretty cool.

Well cool but noisy
