Some people believe that university student should be required to attend classes. Other believe that going to classes should be optional for students. Which point of view do you agree with

The time in university is one of the most important periods in our lives because this time helps us to learn new things and it prepares us for our future career. Some people believe that university students should be required to attend classes. Others may disagree. In my view, students should attend classes during university education for two important reasons.

First, there are many subjects that are difficult to be understand without attending lectures. Lectures and detailed explanation are imperative for better understanding of a subject. For example, when I was in Cairo University, I had a chemistry class, which was difficult for me to understand from the book. I remember that there was a chapter in acid-base chemistry, I tried to understand it from the book, but it was very hard. When we attend the lecture about this subject, it was very helpful and explains things very clearly. As the professor provides a lot of examples, graphs and experiments that help us understand the material. This experience taught me that, university students should attend classes in order to understand their subjects.

Second, when students attend classes in university, this will help them in their social interaction with other people. In other words, interaction between the students in the classes and discussions are important for better understanding of each other. This will enrich a student personality. For instance, when I was in Cairo University, we had a history class. The class was mixed between lecture and open discussions between students and professor, at the beginning, I thought these discussions were a disadvantage, but it was not true. One day, we were discussing an Indian customs, traditions and religion. My friend, Kumar he was born in India, and he was able to explains Indian customs, traditions and different religions, as a result of that, I learned that in India there are many languages spoken by different ethnic groups. As you can see, attending classes in university is a fundamental tool in improving students social skills.

All in all, though some may oppose my opinion, attending classes in university is an advantage for the students. Not only it will help in understanding of the subjects, but also it will enhance their social skills. Every university should require students to attend classes.

Attending university classes is not only the get-way of getting knowledge to the students but it's more than that. It's really important that every student should try to attend the university class to get knowledge and its helps to form the good habits and the development of the personality of the student .In my opinion student should attend university classes for following reasons.

First, in the classroom good teacher provides us the knowledge. The knowledgeable teacher provides the important information about the specific subject. They also help us in clearing our issue on the subjects. For example when I was in Mumbai University, I had teacher name Kabra. He had lots of knowledge about the human anatomy. He provides lots of example about the Biology and the Human organs during his lecture and all those were funny. During practical session he shows us the specimen and he asked the question to every student and if any student comes with difficulty he explains. That’s why it helps us to remember subject for longer time and produce or represent well on test. I learn more about the human body function because of him. If we were not attended his lecture. Might be we were without the good knowledge of the human biology.

Second, It is fun to be in class. There are some teacher and students who are very funny and they make some jokes so the class atmosphere become nice and healthy. The healthy class atmosphere is good for the unity and the progress of the class. For example, when I was doing my post-graduation here in Akola university, I had teacher name Dahatonde . He always had a great smile on his face. When he talk about the world war two the examples were so funny that we laugh together and its make the atmosphere of class cool and healthy.

Third, the teacher's passion motivates the students to do well in subject. During my collage first year, I had teacher name Tendulkar. He always prepared well before the class. He was so passionate about his subject. Because of his passion and enthusiasm, we become motivated toward the chemistry subject. And that year every student from my class got A+ in final examination.

To sum-up, by attending the university class the students not only get the knowledge but also get motivated towards the study to do well on examination. And if students not attend the classroom lectures they will be without the class fun and personal progress.
