My First Experience on Ted Talk - Tedx Petaling Street, Malaysia

This is my first time to attend Ted Talk whereby I always browse through the talk through their official webpage or Youtube. Finally, I got myself a free ticket (costing RM170.00) from my friend who is working with Southern University. Super thanks to my friend and the sponsor!

This Tedx Petaling Street is one of its kind as it is the largest Tedx held in Malaysia which used Chinese as the main language. This year, the event was attended by 1,500 participants ranging from speakers, students, professionals, other Tedx committee throughout Malaysia and even Japan. The line up of the speakers was also awesome! The theme for this year's Tedx Petaling Street was PASSION, which really delivers an injection of motivation for the young generation to build your dream.

I remembered a few speakers with a few key points:

1. A makeup artist who worked as the private make up artist for superstars, mentioning that no matter how your family denies your dream. Do something about it, and prove to your family that it is always possible.
2. A lawyer who stood out to tell a story of her being sexually assaulted. Raising the awareness of sex education and understanding what ways that the victim can reach out for help.
3. A graffiti artist who worked very hard for his dream which is to express himself with freedom. That is why he rationally gave up his work as a graphic designer.
4. An actress who was the winner of the best actor award in Malaysia, raising awareness that understanding ourselves is as important as knowing your friends and honing your skills (work).
5. Jazz player who stated that if you know what you love, get the courage and go for it.

There are still many more speakers which really inspired me and I just wanna make it short for this write up (kinda tired). Ultimately, the whole event really brought up the message that having a passion in life is as important as getting ourselves to be not suffocated without oxygen (passion). We need to learn how to find our passion and hardwork is definitely a must. One more thing is that, hard work plus consistency is one of the formula to success, with time compounding taking place.

I really liked the event theme color and design.

The formula for life with heat = belief (oxygen) + hobby (heat) +challenge (fuel)
