Essense of breaks for students

looking at the syllabus for the term tutors feel rushing the students through the curriculum helps them cover up quickly, what is the essence of running through the curriculum without its full motive being accomplished,however we extend so much stress to the body and brains in return. For the brain to process more information, some important factors should be considered.

Breaks give students the time to experiment on what has been thought, breaks are necessary for students to enable them acquire the necessary results, and enhance rejuvenation of the brain cells.

Sleep: Research has shown that students are the most deprived of sleep, this has resulted to inability to concentrate which affects learning. so it is important to give students at least 20 minutes a few times to relax their brains keep their brains from receiving more informations for some time.

laughter/happiness: A little bit of humour from the teacher and fun should be incorporated into the class time tables even while the class is on, laughter has the ability to reduce stress levels.

Relaxation: Music, strolling chats with friends and sight seeing aids relaxation

Exercise: Exercise aids relaxation of the brain when it is overworked, that is why extracurricular activities are important in between study schedules.

It is ok to get stressed but the essence of work could be lost when we spend time on one activity for longer durations, especially when it is work or knowledge acquisition, to get more result and boost productivity taking breaks are vital, not wasteful as tutors or parents see it.
