SGP Training via KK Wetlands – Day 1
Good Morning Happy People!
I'm here attending training conducted by SGP (The Small Grants Programme) at KK Wetlands, Sabah. I, @kilathecla and our friends a Japanese ladies, Ms Koto will be in this training for two days. This training initiated by SGP was for the grantees who received grants this year and our NGO was one of them.
Some overview of GEF (Global Environment Facility)-SGP (Small Grants Programme) are that it was established on the eve of the 1992 Rio Earth Summit, it’s an international partnership among: 183 countries, international institutions, civil society organizations, and private sector. It also serves as financial mechanism, assists countries in meeting their obligations under the conventions that they have signed and ratified and addresses global environmental issues while supporting national sustainable development initiatives by providing grants for projects related to GEF focal areas.

This training will help us in monitoring, reporting, managing and evaluation of our future project that funded by our grantor. This training is very useful to us as we will be the one to do the reporting of the project.
