A New Turn
It's a new era for the people of Oyo State, in Nigeria as the ruling party; APC lost their hold in the state with PDP emerging as the winner with their flag bearer; Seyi Makinde. It was somewhat of a landslide victory as the PDP candidate won 28 out of the 33 local governments to emerge as the new governor's elect for the state.
His victory gave him 515,621 votes and the APC candidate got 357,982 votes. Other parties got votes too but these two were the leading parties out of the whole lot.
Indeed, it is a new turn for the state as the voters made sure their voice would be heard through their vote. Now, the power is going back to the people as they can decide whoever they want in and those they want out.
It's going to be another 4 years and the people will decide again in the next four years by the power of their votes.
Congratulations to the governor-elect. God will help you, in Jesus name. Amen
