Hello!

I’m back after busy days due to the preparation of the test papers for the first periodical test and the testing day itself. I made three sets of questionnaires for my students in Grade 7 to Grade 10.

Anyways, here’s a drawing of my previous student named Hezron Gapatan. He was one of the first batch of students that I really look up to. He is intelligent, creative and of course a good hearted individual.

Recently, I posted in Facebook that I would draw someone for free if they would send me a good quality close-up photo in messenger with a description of themselves and/or their story. This is an initiative I got to have someone to draw and feature in my blog because I believe that everyone is unique and everyone has a good story to tell. So, without further ado, let me introduce you to HEZRON GAPATAN.

I am Hezron Gapatan, a fresh graduate and a product of K-12 Curriculum. I took up Accountancy , Business and Management at Canduman National High School. It is not that easy playing with knowledge and grades. I had faced consequences from my mistakes that I have made, and despite of the struggles that came into, I really believe that there are still doors of opportunities that will open . I am a gay, yes I am and I am proud of it. There might be a lot of people who discriminates my being, but who cares. I am thankful for what I have right now because it helped me become a better person. I wanted to be a voice and an inspiration for those who believe that they can even if there are biases in the society.

Drawing Process

In sketching the outline it is important that you get the exact proportions of the subject. You will surely have a problem if you wont be able to have that correctly. Then you can start rendering or shading, and in doing that you have to put in mind the values and contrast. This will give a realistic effect in your portrait. Do not worry if you commit mistakes as you continue with the process, that’s absolutely normal. Just have a handy eraser in the side. If you find somewhere needs to be darken or lighten, do not hesitate to change and improve that. Well, for this art, I wanted to use graphite pencils and I really love.
