🎨 Designing a porch

There is a built wooden house.

The house needs a porch. Carpenters to the owner say: "You give us a picture, sir, we'll build it!"

So, there is a task to come up with a porch and afterwards to solve the canopy from the sun above the window. Above the window, so as not to torment the house, we agreed with the client to hang the marquise out of the fabric.
On the main issue are two versions of the roof for the porch. The first is to repeat the roof of the house. But then the water will flow through the facade. The second is to make the drain perpendicular. Minus - it's all very simple.
We choose practicality, that is, the second option.
Now we are thinking about the materials. It is logical to take the same log on the facade and put the supports under the awning:

It seems that everything is customary and understandable: columns, a jumper, a roof ... but the poles are somehow straining. Therefore, a second variant of other materials is born and with a completely different idea:

We apply a beam of 200x200 mm and a metal "piercing".

It seems easier and more relaxed. However, a bunch of technical questions immediately appear. It will be necessary to somehow cling to the existing facade, and this is not good ...

And what option do you choose, my guest?

Не всегда(

I think I would go for the first option myself it to me fits the house better and blends in

Of course! It is correctly noted. This variation is combined with the material of the house.
But...
the client does not like the columns. What seemed to me a pretty reasonable opinion)

Wellof course its the client house so what they want it the most important thing :)

I think... if the customer would chosen a concrete, I will first say that this is a fine choice :-)

Yes that would make sens eot me also
