Anthony and Joe Russo, the directors behind the wildly successful Avengers: Endgame, have set an official date for when the spoiler ban lifts on this MCU epic.

Posted by the Russo Brothers Twitter account, the “official” spoiler ban will be removed on Monday, May 6. The account posted this morning, "If you haven’t seen Endgame yet, see it this weekend. The spoiler ban lifts on Monday!”he duo clarified this sentiment this morning on Good Morning America when asked if there’s a moment in time when it’s okay to openly talk about Endgame, saying “I think there has to be at a certain point, because part of why we make these movies is for conversation.” When asked if that moment is today, Joe Russo said “I think it’s Monday. Give it two weekends, not everybody can get there the first weekend, but I think if you haven’t seen it yet you should get out there and see it, because I think by Monday people are gonna be talking about it."

Prior to Endgame’s release on April 26, the Russo Brothers publicly asked fans not to spoil the film, creating an anti-spoiler campaign with the #DontSpoilTheEndgame hashtag to drive this point home. Before this campaign was set into motion, Scarlet Johansson may have revealed a couple of major spoilers on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Of everyone leading up to the film’s premiere, it appears the Russo Brothers were most concerned about Tom Holland spoiling the film, going so far as to not give him a script.
