in Waikiki. Yee had to create a blue cocktail when a representative of a well-known distillery demanded a drink of that shade, as he was promoting Curaçao. Although the combination of ingredients has evolved, Blue Hawaii keeps rum as a base drink and the classic umbrella as a garnish.
Ingredients:
60 ml of rum
30 ml of blue Curacao
30 ml orange juice
60 ml pineapple juice
Mix all the ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well for a few seconds. Garnish the glass with a piece of pineapple or orange and serve. You can't miss it, but if you prefer to trace the movements of an expert, here's an example. Remember, the Blue Hawaii is ideal for eating before eating, on a small terrace in the sun.
