PDVSA Oil Spill

in #english5 years ago

Hello friends of Steemit, a pleasure to greet you. Today I bring some photos of an oil spill that occurred in the Guarapiche River (it is one of the most important in the state of Monagas, its head starts at the Puertas de Miraflores and flows to a watercourse called Caño Francés). The spill occurred in 2012. And after all this time, there are still traces of the spill, it was an environmental crisis, as well as the distribution of water. They closed the water treatment plant, they were difficult days, but the worst was for our mother earth and all due to a human error, the lack of maintenance and the corresponding security measures.

Many fish died in the spill and most of the trees dried out as the days went by.

We must create awareness, especially because there were no responsible or clear investigation to determine the causes and especially the consequences of the spill I hope that someday justice will be brought to those responsible for this disaster.

Greetings to all and a strong hug
