TRANSLATION

Coming into a place without a formal greeting to those you met may lead to an embarrassment from them(Just like we all did during our first post on Steemit)1, This is therefore the reason why @anikys3reasure;

Your baby girl, Your little sis, Your friend is saying a warm greeting to all Yorubas Home and Abroad, And the Non - Yorubas here7.

Good day to you all!!! wherever you are reading this post from tonight.

Today's Program will stand as the first Episode of CULTURE PROMOTION WITH @anikys3reasure on the Steem 4Blockchain. Where @anikys3reasure will be Promoting the Yoruba Culture being a Yoruba person.

What i brought for you today on this program is not much but you will definitely not want to miss any part of it. The topic for discussion is0;

GREETINGS IN YORUBA LAND.

WHAT IS GREETING?
According to Oxford Dictionary: Greeting is what we say or do to show respect/welcome people8.

From my own Knowledge and Understanding; Greeting5 is giving respects and regards to people in every way; may be through speaking or actions. The Yorubas have their ways of greeting during different times, They also have ways7 of greeting people based on what the person is doing or what is happening to the person at the time of greeting2.

Greeting is one major way the Yorubas use in showing love3, affections and respect to themselves, Greetings may be between Parents and Children,Husband and Wife, Friends, Relatives or even Neighbors.

We0 should praise the Yorubas because, They are always ready every time to greet people with their beautiful Smiles, In fact they greet themselves when Eating.

One of the reason why2 the Yoruba language greetings get thumbs up is that it always comes with respect.

A well trained Yoruba Lady should greet an elderly person on her KNEES While A well trained Yoruba Guy should also greet an Elderly Person on PROSTRATION5.

All Yoruba Greetings For Greeting Elders start with the Yoruba Alphabet "Ẹ" as in

Ẹ kaaro which means Good morning
Ẹ ku Iyaleta which is used to greet between 10am to Mid-day.
Ẹ Kasan which means Good Afternoon.
Ẹ ku irole which means Good Evening
Ẹ kaale which means Good Evening; Evening from after seven

The above greetings are the most common greetings of the Yorubas But we have many others like;

Ẹ pele o - To tell somebody sorry
Ẹ ku Ikalẹ o - To greet somebody sitting down most especially elders or group of persons.
Ẹ rora o - To greet elderly people, telling them to take it easy
Ẹ ku Itadi - Greeting for farting.
Ẹ ireju - For someone relaxing
Ẹ ku alejo - When someone has visitors.
Ẹ ku ojo meta - When it been long you see someone.
Ẹ ku ewa - For someone making hair
Mo ki ota, Mo ki ope - Meaning; I greet the gamer and the loser - When people are playing games.
Ẹ ku amojuba - When someone just arrived from a journey and you want to greet the relatives.
Ẹ ku ara fe ra ku - When someone died.
Ẹ ku Igbadun - Greeting for Someone that is flexing.
Ẹ ku imu enu duro - Greeting for someone that is fasting.
Oko aare fo oooo - Greeting for a driver
Onya aya o/Oju gboro o - For an hairdresser
A je yira o - Greeting for someone who is eating
Ẹ ku ayeye oni o - Greeting when having a happy event.
Ẹ ile de - When someone travelled.
Ẹ ku iduro - For someone standing.
Aroko bodun de o - For farmers
Ẹ ku erin - For someone laughing
Ẹ ku afere yi o - When the weather is cold.
Ẹ ku Osi - when someone is doing nonsense.
Ẹ ku owo lomi - When someone just gave birth.
Ẹ ku orinrin - When rain just started in a year and there is cold.

Question! Question!! Question!!!

If your babe starts singing the song of "No

want to keep her body for the
final lucky man, then You as a man should as well
produce a sensational video of "No

resources for your final lucky woman.

Let's have a song and video competition.
