May is #MentalHealthMonthor #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth. Recently, an actor whom I follow on social media, had a son who committed suicide. I know that even though parents are supposed to outlive their children, sometimes this does not happen. It was sudden, and the warning signs were and weren't there.

Almost everyone has some form of mental health issue and it doesn't mean you are insane. Mental illnesses can also be addictions as well as eating disorders. However, when we hear the words "mental illness", most commonly, people tend to think of one as being bi-polar or depressed.

Just remember, that if you suffer from some form of mental illness, you aren't alone. Before doing anything "rash", please try to seek help. Confide in someone you trust or call an 800 number if you just need someone to talk to. Trust me, there are people out there that love you and care for you and will miss you terribly.
