Where are the monkeys, lions and elephants?

My first and last visit to a circus with similar setup was more than 25 years ago. Felt like a lifetime but this visit was more nostalgic than entertainment.

The most noticeable difference now was live animals are no longer featured. In fact, a performer was substitute in disguise as a chicken for most of the interlude comedic acts and to represent an arachnid there was another in Spiderman costume. Nevertheless, it was still an enjoyable experience and great for family first outings.

This Malaysian company owning the rights to operate was Amazon Fauna Sdn. Bhd. They have been organizing circus around Malaysia for many years including Sabah and Sarawak.

This particular circus is at Pinggiran Subang (near Help University) will end on the 20th May 2018. The cheapest ticket for a child is around the price of an cinema IMAX 3D ticket. There are 3 types of seating from standard, hot and VIP with varying prices. Hot seats gives the best view. Standard seats can be uncomfortable but cheapest. VIP isn't really worth is since it's place so near to the circle and one need to tilt head up for trapeze and other aerial performances.

The whole experience lasted around 2 hours with a 15 minute break in between.

The show highlight performances are Globe of Death and Wheel of Death. Both are amazing stunts which had us held our breath on every leap and jump the performers took. Nervously felt like they were either about to fall or crash into each other at high speed.

Circus operation is nomadic and they may be coming to little towns near you.
Remember, no more animal exploitation in circus doesn't mean it isn't entertaining anymore.
