Have you heard of the Whale who's 2 Mio EOS got hacked?
Unkown to me EOS Lynx founder has a EOS themed newsletter and in one of his latest update he sent out the news, what happened to an EOS whale that has apparently been hacked for his 2Mio Euro in his wallet.

Long story short: EOS sw/eden realised their votings suddenly dropped by 2Mio of EOS, and looking into it, saw, that the account of one of their voters, had their Owner keys changed, sold off all airdrops and started unstaking the EOS. A few transactions indicated, that transfers went to accounts known from EOS 911, so it could be proved, that the original owner was legit. Reason enough to blacklist the account, so tokens couldnt be transfered off, which was later confirmed by a ECAF order.
Story ended well?
Yes, and it demonstrates the importance of a regular governance process established. Otherwise those kind of hacks can never be prevented.
