EOS - Two chains meet in 15 minutes to decide next steps

in #eos6 years ago

Watching the telegram rooms for both candidate chains. Some drama heats up in EOS Bios.

Still unclear if there are p0 (blocker) or p1 (must be fixed) bugs which could further delay the launch of EOS. At this point it is unclear how much longer the launch could take.

Both teams are to meet in a group call in 15 minutes to decide on which chain will be the mainnet and when/if it will go live.

They better set aside their egos and get shit done

What is the deal with the multiple candidate chains? Does it matter which candidate chain is the one that launches? Do these both launch... i.e. are they two implementations of the same protocol?

Originally everyone was working on EOS BIOS built by @eos-canada, from what I understand.

Some thought that it was lacking in security and made the Ghost-Busters (now called EOS-core) chain which is explained here.

Looks like they are starting to get tried now, tempers are flaring a bit. Understanable they have been at it for days now.

Still good news !
