It takes 1000 years for the plastic to decompose by decomposing or completely decomposed soil. This is a very long time. When decomposed, the plastic particles will contaminate the soil and ground water. If burned, plastic waste will produce toxic fumes that are harmful to health that if the cultivation process is not perfect, the plastic will break down in the air as dioxin. These compounds are highly dangerous if inhaled human. The effects include triggering cancer, hepatitis, swelling of the liver, nervous system disorders and trigger depression. Plastic bags are also the cause of flooding, because it clogs the waterways, embankments. Thus causing even the worst flood damage the turbine reservoir.
