Are You Happy With Your Looks?
I saw a quote that says, "If you want others to LOVE you, learn to LOVE yourself first", I don't know who wrote it but this quote leaves a huge impression in my mind. It really made me think about people who has been trying to impress and please others so that they will be liked or loved, but who would have thought that behind those smiles is someone who loath their ownselves.
I'm not sure if I have met a person like that, maybe I did, but they surely did a good job in concealing their true feelings. How can you make others to love you when you yourself don't even like your ownself?
What part of yourself physically that you hated the most? Well, if it is part of your body, that can be altered by going through the painful procedure of "Cosmetic Surgery", but I don't think many people fancies such alternatives.
I don't think we are created to be physically and mentally perfect. Heck, even those Supermodels thinks that they are not perfect. There will always be some flaws about our selves that we would like to change. I am sure about 90% of us have the same opinion. We wanted to look better and more appealing in our own eyes and for others. Some people will be so desperate to do so, they don't even care how painful or how much money they will have to lose. All that they care about is getting the perfect look that they desired for.
I don't think that it is wrong, but in the other hand, look at it this way. We should just appreciate our looks just the way it is because that makes as unique, different from anyone else. Learn to love ourselves and I am sure the people around us will learn to love us too, just the way we are.
Who Am I?
I used to be an Engineer working for companies that specialises in Electrical, ELV and Mechanical contract works for High Rise Buildings, Shopping Malls and Housings. After working in the field for more than twenty (20) years, I finally realized that I need to follow my dreams and passion in the restaurant business.
I was first introduced to Steemit in December 2017, but I was only active blogging in January 2018. Since then, I've been writing almost everyday. There is no specific title that I blog about, I write almost all types of topics that came across my mind or things that interest me. Now, Steemit is part and partial of my life. Through Steemit I began to learn new things and meet strangers that now I called friends. It's an enjoyable journey so far, and hopefully Steemit will be an enjoyable experience for you too.
When we learn to appreciate and love ourselves its easy to accept other things. I agree with you about how we all are unique and vary from others. With that, we should embrace it because we always needed by somebody. Someone who is uniqe as us.
Why waste our previous hours thinking about what others said when we can spend it happily 24/7 because its always and forever be our choice. 👍🏻
