Rice Wrap Aceh (Bu KUlah)

in #esteem6 years ago

BU kulah is a rice wrap a la Aceh that has been entrenched for hundreds of years. The shape of the kalah (bungkus) of rice is different from the pack of rice in general known in the stalls. This form is like a four-sided pyramid with a pointed tip.

So, bu kulah it is not the type of rice or cuisine, but the way of wrapping rice that is somewhat unique. The Acehnese made mine at the time of khanduri maulid (moled), as well as other great festivities such as marriage ceremonies of guests. However, on khanduri (kenduri) moled, the presence of bu kulah (with the contents bu minyeuk) seemed obligatory.

Making Mrs. Kulah is more complicated than wrapping the usual rice that is in the stalls and I'm sure not everyone can wrap it, including myself who have tried it repeatedly, but still fail, maybe I still have to learn again from my mother or person which is older than me, because only those who are more expert in this matter. Because That's what makes a book a little more complicated than wrapping it up as usual.
