So I've been getting some questions from the followers on my LIT account particularly on how do I get rewarda as much as I am, so decided to do a post on STEEMit so I can refer them to the post. It'll help me in giving them better and a more insightful reply than replies through DM.

I can't guarantee that these tips and tricks are gonna 100% for you, but according to some of the things that's been said in LIT's whitepaper, I am following these ways of using it myself and I hope it'll help you too.

1. Originality

According to what I've heard and read from friends on LIT, Twitter feeds, and LIT's Medium page, spamming is ok BUT ONLY if it's an original post.

It seems this is one of those integral parts of the vision of LIT which is understandable because you wouldn't want a platform full of, pardon my language, shit content.

So similar to STEEMit, we all know that quality of content is a major factor in getting people to notice and engage with you however, the difference is that LIT isn't a group of humans that curate manually, it's a highly sophisticated algorithm that detects spamming content rather well.

So what falls under the category of "spam" content? Uploading the same picture 10 times. Do that a few times and your payout will decrease not just for the so contents but the entirety of your account. When that happens, your rewards are seriously nerfed and I know that I'm a friend of someone that is staked at level 9 but gets 0.01 MITH per picture/story. This is not normal. The user has definitely been nerfed.

That person has now contacted the LIT support team but as of now, the situation hasn't been resolved.

So just stay away from doing this and you'll be fine.

I recommend that you post things you do in your daily life. Simple but most importantly real.

2. Viewing Duration

It seems like many are unaware of this part of the LIT rewards that is not affected just by likes but by the duration people spend on your picture/stories.

It's actually mentioned in their whitepaper!

Asides from the reason that not many actually have read the LIT whitepaper thoroughly (including myself), another reason why we use LIT in a certain way is due to the way Instagram and other mainstream social media has conditioned.

AGAIN...... LIT is not Instagram.

This, reward base on the length of duration people spend on your story, is unique and a real game changer compared to Instagram and other social media because they don't calculate this on their platform. You are successful only base on your popularity which is dictated by quantity of likes where else on LIT, quality is as or more important than likes.

On LIT, quality is as important as quantity.

So make sure you keep this in mind when posting stuff on LIT, that when you get the viewer engaged with your content, the longer they spend looking, reading, watching your stories, YOU ARE REWARDED!

3. DM/Chat Feature

A different kind of engagement than the previous one, this one focuses on utilizing the DM chat feature on the app.

Jeffrey Huang, founder of LIT, did encourage in one of his tweets for users to utilize the DM feature and engage with other users.

It seems there are mysterious codes that are embedded in the LIT algorithm that affects rewards. This is just from my observation and not documented but all I'm saying is just pay attention to Jeffrey Huang's tweets.

So because of what was tweeted, I have used the LIT DM feature more. I've commented more frequently on friends and followers stories. Basically increase the usage of it which automatically creates more engagement with you and your community of friends and followers.

Concluding Thoughts

These are some of the things that I've done and have found some success with it. I hope it helps and gives you some handle on using LIT in a more effective way.

Most importantly, have fun and spread some good news in the process.

We all can use social media to write and say anything we want but not everything is great to read. So let's keep spreading good stuff to talk about 😊

Hi @danielwong, I'm @checky ! While checking the mentions made in this post I noticed that @drumsticks doesn't exist on Steem. Maybe you made a typo ?
