Saying no to our friends and family when they need our help can be very tricky because we don't want them to feel bad or disappointed in us. Some of our friends and family member go to the extent of manipulating us by whining anytime they are in need because they know we don't know how to say no. The truth is, saying no doesn't mean or make you a cruel person especially when you are honest with the reason for saying so.

One of the best ways we can learn to say no is by sticking to our decision. When we learn to make up our mind and stand firm with our decision, we won't give way to being manipulated by family and friends. This will also put an end to attempting to manipulate us whenever we say no.

We should also be able to say our No really fast, without having to give them hope. If we know that we can't render our assistance to them, we shouldn't have to keep them waiting before saying no or wishing for them to forget because they won't. Having to say no real quick will help save them time and won't make them angry.

Finally, in order for us to say no to family and friends without having to hurt their feelings, we should always give solid and honest reasons why we are saying no. That way, they will understand and see the reason why we said no without damaging the relationship between us.
