PROSES PEMBUATAN GARAM

Garam sangat berpengaruh bagi kehidupan manusia. Tanpa garam semua masakan akan menjadi hambar. Kali ini saya ingin menampilkan tulisan tentang proses pembuatan garam secara tradisional.

Salt is very influential for human life. Without salt, all dishes will become tasteless. This time I want to present a writing about the process of making salt traditionally.

Pertama sekali akan dibentuk bulatan pasir untuk menyaring air garam. Ke dalam bulatan pasir tersebut akan diisi air yang diambil dari sumur dekat laut. Air di dalam bulatan pasir tersebut akan dialirkan ke lubang yang digali di dekat bulatan pasir tersebut. Setelah tiga hari akan terkumpul air garam lalu air tersebut dipindahkan ke dalam bak air.

Setelah air garam itu cukup banyak kemudian
dipindahkan ke atas tungku memasak garam. Lalu dimasak selama tujuh jam dengan kayu bakar.

Selama pemasakan air garam tersebut tidak boleh diaduk. Lama kelamaan air akan mengering dan terbentuklah kristal garam berwarna putih. Itulah garam yang biasa kita konsumsi. Sekian semoga bermanfaat.
