At The Museum - GateThursday - SevenDaysOutside Challenge

Today I thought I would show you some really old gates from the Astra National Museum located in Sibiu, Romania. This is an ethno-museum situated outside the city, surrounded by a beautiful park with a lake in the heart of the park. On 19 August 1905 took place the first exhibition.

This is a traditional Romanian house with a wooden gate. Must have been of someone not exactly poor. The house is pretty big for those times and the smaller building must have been a barn or a workshop of some kind.

I love this museum, I've been there many times as a kid and go back every time I have the chance. Here you can find old houses restored to their original form, from the 17th - 18th century and not only. If you want to see real history, this is the place to visit.

There is a very nice, open air restaurant inside the park, you can have a nice and delicious lunch enjoying the view.
