Freewrite Day 383 Irritation

When you are diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, they tell you your body is attacking itself. So therefore this is all your fault. After fighting this for over 20 years, I disagree with this idea.

Most of us get irritation when we eat something inflammatory. The effect can be immediate or come overnight. Those of us with autoimmune disease are more sensitive than others who we call the “pre-sick.”

Environment plays a large part in the severity of our symptoms. Once you remove toxins and inflammatory substances from your life, things become much better. After you do this good for yourself and then fall off the wagon, the symptoms come back even stronger than before.

Most of us have issues we can control and those we cannot. For example, if we have been injected with heavy metals, there are ways to remove some of them but not all.

One example is deodorant. Many of those products contain aluminum which is irritating and inflammatory among other issues. Those of use who stop putting this substance into our lymph node saturated armpits (freshly shaven) see almost immediate improvement in some of the symptoms. But it is very difficult to remove what we have already ingested.

All we can do is continue to try.

My post is for the #freewrite daily challenge by @mariannewest. Freewrite is a great way to post on steemit when you do not think you have the time, or talent, or anything to say. I know you can do this too! Here is Marianne’s freewrite prompt post for today. Give it a try and surprise yourself.

I have some foods which irritate me. One of those is tomato and a hard cream on the top of hot milk. They really irritate me. Instead of getting irritated I have avoided them.

I was watching a Dr. Jordan Peterson interview yesterday - He now only eats beef
(says it boring but solved many health issues for him )

His daughter had severe auto immune issues (replacement hips and bones etc), and once she switched to this diet - and is now completely healthy (I think..).

I'll put my faith in Dr. Peterson's intellect and common sense, above 'the health industry' anytime..

I am on the bone broth train and it works well for me. Also veggies and high fat with as little carbs as I can get in this area of the world.

I'm still well and truly off the wagon.

My fresh bread making regimen will be the death of me.. lolol

Making it yourself with good ingredients, is the best way to go if you are going to eat it. Hopefully you've got some whole grains in there. I love the bread I bake, but it has been a few years due to no kitchen. I was buying all the crazy older grains and it seemed ok. The less wheat, the better.

.....whiter than the best white ever! lolol

I used to have to pay $11 a stick for my deodorant because I would break out with the cheap stuff.

I'm not going Postal, just delivering today's prompt 📬

There is something really troubling about that philosophy of "your body is attacking itself". I've had digestive issues most of my life, and a big factor in getting a lot better was recognizing the outside factors.

The body is a fascinating thing, but frustrating some times how unique we all are, and therefore have unique requirements.

I so agree with you about the frustration! I am in a lot of groups for auto-immune disease, and at least once a week someone comes in crying because a doctor told them this sad theory. It is such a discouraging thought and makes you think there is nothing you can do. I'm so glad you are finding external issues that can make a difference.

It makes such a huge difference what we put into our bodies.

Physical health is the most important

I don't even know what food irritates me.. Except after I drink milk I feel bloated.. :)

You are not alone with that one. Dairy is hard on a lot of people. Go organic and it might get better for you.
