Visit the historic mosque building.

This time, we switched to North Sumatra, precisely in Langkat district, Tanjung Pura sub-district - Medan.

At this location, a mosque was built in 1899 by the Langkat Sultan.
And it was completed in 1902.

---

In working on the building this mosque takes 3 years.
This mosque is named the Mosque of Azizi, according to the name of the founder, namely; Sultan Tengku Abdul Aziz Jalik Rakhmatsyah.

This mosque is a historical building from the heritage of the Langkat Malay Sultanate, which has a high value architecture,
with yellow ornaments as a Malay characteristic.

Physical building architecture, domes and towers, look like mosque buildings in India.
The walls of the mosque building, full of Arabic calligraphy, such as mosque buildings during Ottoman Turkey.

The west side outside the mosque building, there is the tomb of the Langkat sultans.
The tomb of Sultan Musa, Sultan Abdul Azizi, Sultan Mahmud, and also the tomb of an Indonesian national hero named Tengku Amir Hamzah.

As a good citizen, who always remembers the services of his hero, we took the time to make a pilgrimage.
