A light in the dark - Poem

Riots of the past,
Good times a plenty in count,
To laugh and have a good time,
Knowing about the familiarity,
Of the ones that died.

Special ability,
To shine the light in the dark,
One of many,
That "they" possessed.

Creative ways to scatter,
The joys of many,
Focus down the path,
To randomly invite the few.

On thin ice with the brethren,
It was the final path,
To muster courage to walk on.

The skim off the evil,
Going down suffering,
Happiness a warmth in the night,
Roughly walking down the lane,
Of no return.
